Internationally registered and recognised Traditional and Freestyle Karate in Peterborough. There are many associations and organisations in the martial arts world, offering various different things. We have tried to make this as easy to understand as possible.

Just as a martial artists needs a Club to train with, Clubs needs Associations and Affiliations to ensure they consistently better themselves.

Associations and affiliations to other organisations provides many benefits for a Karate Club. From insurance and registration, to access to national and international competitions. A greater range of training opportunities, seminars, courses and much much more.

For these reasons we proudly associate and affiliate with the following organisations.

National Governing Bodies (NGBs)

Our Club and Instructors are registered with National Governing Bodies, recognised by Sport England and the International Olympic Committee, for the sports in which we compete.

English Karate Federation

Oubaitori Karate Club is directly registered with the English Karate Federation.

The English Karate Federation (EKF) is the official governing body for Karate in England, as recognised by the British Karate Federation.

The British Karate Federation is the recognised National Governing Body (NGB) by Sport England, and is a member of the European and World Karate Federations.

The World Karate Federation is the only Karate organisation recognised by the International Olympic Committee.

As with all new Clubs, we are currently Provisional members with the English Karate Federation, pending completion of our first 12 months of membership.

Kickboxing GB

Oubaitori Karate Club is directly registered with Kickboxing GB.

Kickboxing GB is the official governing body for Kickboxing in England, recognised by Sport England.

Kickboxing GB is a member of the World Association of Kickboxing Organisations (WAKO).

The World Association of Kickboxing Organisations is the only Kickboxing organisation recognised by the International Olympic Committee.

Member associations and organisations provide many values, particularly at grass roots levels, and for collaborative training and competition opportunities for our students.

Oubaitori Karate Club is a member of WKU England (World Karate/Kickboxing Union), the biggest mixed discipline Karate/Kickboxing organisation in the world.

Partners & Community Organisations

We are primarily a martial arts organisation, however we work with partner and community organisations to further our social goals. We are, after all, a non-profit, and we exist for the benefit of our members.
