We are really excited to announce that something huge is happening for us here at ToriKai, something which really helps us towards achieving our goals of being a community based, non-profit Martial Arts organisation, where our skills, expertise and lineage are passed onto the next generation of martial artists, from all backgrounds.
It’s rare to find a complete alignment of values, but we are very fortunate to have found just that. So, it is our absolute honour to announce our new Karate For Good Partnership. Which will see ToriKai Martial Arts working alongside Nene Park Trust’s Your Community Greenspace Project, funded by the National Lottery Heritage Fund.
The aim of this partnership is to combine the fantastic foundation that Nene Park Trust have built with the expertise, energy, and passion that ToriKai have to bring Karate to more students in Peterborough, with the shared ambition of using Karate as a tool to improve the health and wellbeing of all our students.
The partnership will see us here at ToriKai working closely with our counterparts at Nene Park Trust, to raise visibility of Martial Arts, and adoption of Martial Arts as a way to get fit, stay active, and improve our own well being and mental wellness. We’ve already started planning and working on events and demos, and there are many more to come.
The Karate For Good Partnership will also see us opening 2 new classes at a new venue (more information on that coming soon) to open our doors to students from another area of the city, as well as unlocking some really valuable initiatives for our current and new students, more information on those to be posted shortly.
For now, we’d like to pass a huge thank you to Lindsey and the team at Nene Park Trust for working with us in the run up to this announcement, and for all her help and support. We can’t wait to see what this partnership will bring!
