After a hard competition in Rhodes, Greece – we are excited to announce that Matt has come home as the WKU World Kumite Champion (under 90kg)!
As you will have noticed, Matt has spent most of this year preparing for the WKU World Championships in Rhodes, Greece, after winning the English title back in 2023.
With huge thanks to the support from Oubaitori Karate Club, and his sponsors (Compare the Market, Airport Arrivals Peterborough, and evaluagent) Matt has come back as the 18-34 year old (-90kg) WKU World Kumite Champion, and the under 85kg World Silver Medalist. Matt also competed in Kata and Hardstyle Forms, where he placed a respectable 7th.
