About our Werrington Karate Classes

Work on a hybrid of traditional Shukokai and freestyle (kickboxing) Karate. We offer a range of martial arts classes in Werrington, Peterborough, aimed at all ages and skill levels.

Our Monday 6pm class is for all ages, and tends to focus more on traditional Karate. Monday 7pm for teens and adults tends to focus on traditional Karate and self improvement, whereas our Wednesday 6.30pm class aims to work on traditional and freestyle and Karate for competition.

Our kids class is specifically tailored for a short energetic burst of managed improvement for our children, and has now been running for over 3 years.

What We Train

Traditional Karate

The foundation we work from in our sport and self defence is traditional Shitoryu Shukokai Karate. This provides us all the tools we need to build upon.

Sport Karate

We train and compete in traditional Karate disciplines (Kata and Kumite) as well as kickboxing disciplines – point fighting, light continuous, and kick light.

Self Defence

With decades of experience in a range of martial arts, and a background in law enforcement, our self defence training is robust, simple, and practical.

Covering traditional, sport, and freestyle Karate across two sessions. Our Teens and Adults programme allows for practical self defence and competition progression.
